Hello! My name is Ashley Button, and I have been professionally photographing weddings since 2016, but my love for photography didn't start with an iPhone or a perfect preset. It began under the red glow of a darkroom when I was young. That process taught me everything.
It taught me patience. It taught me to be intentional—you only had 24 shots on a roll of film, so every single one had to count. It taught me that the most beautiful things take time, care, and a little bit of faith to create. That darkroom magic is the soul of what I do today.
When I’m not shooting, I’m usually romanticizing my own life here in Waterloo. You can probably find me hunting for antiques, spending time with my husband and two daughters at the farmer's market, or location scouting with my golden retriever, Nandor the Relentless.
